We had the chance to work with Chef Tammy and her team for my daughter's wedding at the Boatique Winery. Our daughter wanted her wedding to be something a little less traditional. So we decided to host it in the backyard yard of the Vintners home on the winery. Tammy put together an incredible farm-to-table menu sourced entirely from local farms. She prepared everything in the kitchen at the house, which was a real special touch and a challenging task for 130 people. The food and service were outstanding. The menu consisted of Moroccan rub lamb chops, chicken thighs and breast with lemon preserves, seasoning, olives and many more delights! Our guests could not stop talking about the food and service!
Chef Tammy and her team exceeded our expectations. Our daughter Courtney said she created a memory for life!
We would highly recommend working with Chef Tammy!

Tammy the owner was wonderful, we had a great place to park near the grapevines. We preordered a Charcuterie board for our arrival and breakfast for the next day. They were delicious! We stayed here for a five day personal Easter retreat and it was such a wonderful idyllic stay.
Everything about the experience felt so beautiful and accommodating. Check-in was so pleasant, from the welcome messages Mark sent (complete with food, wine, and activity reco's) to the meticulous attention given to the room to make it feel country-home warm and clean modern luxury all at once. We loved the little touches sprinkled about like Easter eggs - the little games area with board games, yoga mat, toys for dogs (although we didn't have one), the jars of half-and-half and honey, little chalkboards with well wishes and reminders, the flashlights for exploring at night (which we did).
The grounds were beautiful, even more so than they described. We enjoyed walking around and doing quiet reflection (we didn't tell them we were there for meditation, but it made no difference whatsoever as they fully respected our space and it was so quiet throughout) - they had little areas for sitting and relaxing all around. Vineyards, an olive orchard next door, lots of green, and a distant view of the lake, the occasional chicken, pig, deer, and even their dogs greeting us.
Not least were Mark and Tammy themselves. They are such lovely, welcoming people. We eventually sprung for Chef Tammy's breakfast, which we initially thought was a bit pricey but in the end was worth every penny. With every bite, we were overwhelmed with both the feeling of homey nostalgia and the sophistication of a Michelin star restaurant at once. Every element of it - bacon, eggs, yogurt, granola, scone - was done perfectly. I know it sounds weird, but that's the only way I can explain it, like if your grandma was the chef for the Four Seasons. It was amazing - we regret not going for the dinner! If you're staying here, don't hesitate - you won't regret it. All in all a good stay, one of our most memorable trips. We'll be back!

John and Tammy are amazing hosts, super communicative, sweet, and helpful. Tammy is an amazing chef, so you absolutely have to order at least one meal when you stay here.
We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday this time and there was a mix up in the flower delivery. John and Tammy went out of their way to give us a bottle of champagne when we arrived and then they also drove out and picked up the flowers I had ordered.
The farm is beautiful, there are many nearby wineries, and an amazing hike up Mt Konocti if you want to do that. We will definitely be back for a third time soon!

This was the perfect break from hectic San Francisco life!
John was so kind and helpful! His farm is lovely and his dogs, mini pigs and chickens are so cute!! We had so much fun playing with the animals, walking around the place, and even slack lining. The studio was quiet, cozy, and peaceful. It is such a cool setup, connected directly to the barn.
We hiked Mt. Konocti and ate at some yummy local cafes and restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay with Mark and Tammy at their ranch. They were absolutely top quality hosts, and this stay genuinely feels like a proper bed and breakfast.
AirBnB has a lot of really basic, barebones, boring, sterile apartments and hotel equivalents, and we've stayed in a ton of them, but this is not that. This is a huge private loft, a remote ranch, friendly hosts, cute animals, and excellent food prepared by chef Tammy. - The room itself is away from the host's house - Very safe and comfortable - The bed is very comfy and large - No kitchen, but the fridge, table and coffee area are great - Really excellent place for dogs - Smart TV was great, not in the pictures - Shower is excellent, but smells like iron,
Final note is to plan any trip to Lake County very carefully if you have an electric vehicle. We had one and it was *rough*. There are a couple chargers in town but they're slow, and it's hard to find things to do while waiting hours for a charge.

The hosts are lovely, and the dinner and the breakfast we ordered were wonderful. They have "to go" boxes if you can't finish it all, you just have to ask. The bed was super comfy. The shower was lovely. Lots of games. Great wifi. Lovely farm and animals. As advised, do bring a big bottle of water. The well water is a bit funky (as he warned in the listing). FYI: The stairs are steep. I think it would make a wonderful venue for weddings, etc.

✨Magical retreat on a beautiful property. The bath is clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the animals where absolutely adorable. The pigs, chickens, desert tortoise, and dogs were all so incredibly friendly and were my favorite part of our stay, along with the beautiful views of the property.

We have stayed at The Ripe Choice a year ago and loved it so much we came back this year and have already booked again for next year....Mark and Tammy are gracious Hosts; the food is some of the finest that we have had anywhere, (we ordered the 5-course meal for dinner and the breakfast with homemade goodies) we love everything about The Ripe Choice! The setting where we parked our RV, the apple orchard, vineyard, the pigs and dogs, but most of all the peaceful setting and the kindness of Mark and Tammy.
It feels like we are coming to visit friends when we stay here. Mark is a great communicator and Tammy is a wonderful Chef! I can't say enough great comments about our stay!
We were visiting family and vacationing in Lakeport, CA and the Ripe Choice Farm was the perfect location. We were right down the road from our family and it was a great base for exploring Northern California (local and day trips). Lakeport is a rural, small town area and it's just how we like it. It isn't overly busy and touristy.
The Ripe Choice Farm was just as described. It has everything a couple needs for a quiet and peacefully trip. The vineyards, orchards, and farm animals are a plus.

There was a certain magic about this place - this was quite literally the best night of sleep I have had in any lodging property.
The place is immaculate and there is plenty of parking under the apple trees. The town nearby, Kelseyville, is a quaint farming town with several outstanding wineries and a great brewery as well. There are nicer places to eat like the Saw Shop and Redd’s at the local airport and also down-home places like Lyndall’s. I would suggest doing as we did - three nights. It gave us a chance to explore and enjoy. We are already scheming our return and quite looking forward to it.

We had a lovely time staying at the farm for the most part of a week. We had two delicious breakfasts and dinner one evening provided by Tammy. It was too hot to eat al fresco but we did have our morning coffee under the beautiful tree in the yard. I believe the tree was a London Plane which is very pretty to sit under and enjoy the shade. We enjoyed walking around the farm and seeing all the animals.
We were looking for a quiet escape from city life, and we got that and more. The bright new moon and the twinkling stars each night was delightful, Mother Nature at her finest. The accommodations had everything we needed, a comfy bed, a/c and peace and quiet, priceless. We spent most of our days exploring, going to the ocean, the farmers market, and north to see the giant Redwoods.
Communications with John were great. I would love to return.

What a gem! The converted barn loft was spacious and included many special touches (eg, comfortable bed, decent sized fridge, spacious bathroom, soft towels, and air conditioning!). The sunrises and sunsets were my favorite part of the day. Having the opportunity for me and my dog to greet their pot bellied pigs, chickens and tortoise was a lot of fun.
Tammy is a gifted chef and would highly recommend ordering the dinners! John was a warm and welcoming host. I would definitely return.

Our stay with Mark and Chef Tammy was hands down, the best Harvest Host experience we’ve had thus far. Mark has excellent communication skills through the HH app and texting, before your arrival so that they are prepared for your stay.
The day we pulled in, Tammy was there to greet us and guide us to our spot, where we had a beautiful view of their farm. They did have a small last minute event (Celebration of Life) booked on their property on the day we arrived, which Mark communicated to us a couple days before our arrival. He was gracious to recommend other HH places to stay if we were not comfortable sharing space with the event.
We are so glad that we chose to stay with Chef Tammy and Mark! We thoroughly enjoyed watching the kiddos play with the Pot Belly pigs, Rosie and Bud and Tank the Tortoise. I don’t think Rosie’s tail ever stops wagging! Even though Chef Tammy and Mark were making sure their group event was attended to, they also made us feel very much at home. That evening, here comes Mark and Chef Tammy walking through the drizzling rain out to our camper with a greeting of “Hello Lovebirds!” They presented us with a perfectly baked salmon dressed in flavorful Dijon sauce (I think) and a very tender Wagyu Steak, both dishes accompanied by fresh asparagus and potatoes, as well as some warm fresh bread and butter. The second tray held the most beautiful salad I have ever eaten (no lie!) and a delicious apple cobbler baked in a cast iron pan with a scoop of ice cream. With dinner, they also provided us a really wonderful bottle of wine from a local winery.
I strongly recommend you request dinner from Chef Tammy, as not only were the dishes beautifully presented, but the best dinner we have ever had and the proportions were very generous. We had leftovers for our travels! Steak and eggs the next morning and the mouthwatering salmon for lunch! It was so nice getting to know Chef Tammy and Mark, sharing stories and experiences of raising kids and being empty nesters. Tammy is an incredibly talented chef and just as sweet as can be and Mark has a great sense of humor, which we really connected with. We feel like we have new friends and can’t wait to return.

The setting and views here are just as lovely as pictured! It was delightful to be welcomed by a little black and white pig wagging its tail and a large tortoise hot-footing it across the orchard. We are in our 70’s and could handle the trek up the staircase to the loft with our luggage, but that might be an issue if you have knee problems. Pick up something at a local bakery to go with your morning coffee or evening decaf - the loft is stocked with Peat’s coffee and it’s a peaceful respite. You’ll have a restful, quiet stay at The Ripe Choice!

The hosts were wonderful: very friendly and responsive without being intrusive at all. The room itself was comfortable, clean and spacious, with rustic charm, yet all the amenities I needed (modern bathroom, fridge, microwave, Keurig, well stocked cupboard of utensils & dishes, etc). The giant windows afforded a lovely overlook of the farm property, and you can drift to sleep watching the multitude of stars from the cozy memory foam bed, watch the little morning bats swooping outside just before dawn, and you can even see a sliver of Clear Lake and the mountains on a non-misty day.
The small collection of adorable resident critters include a couple of friendly dogs, a few curious hens, two charming potbellied pigs, and one slightly shy giant tortoise. Oh and the food. The FOOD! I was welcomed to invite a couple of my local friends to join me for a few meals on the farm, and each meal outdid the last, carefully prepared to suit our dietary requests. Extremely generous portions, and could not have been more fresh and delicious! The hands-down best meals of my entire week in CA. I hope to come back again sometime with my husband, as I know he would love this place as much as I did!

An absolutely gorgeous experience! We didn’t leave the barn much as it was a rest stop for us on a month long road trip up the Pacific Northwest. We had a delightful stay at Ripe Choice Farm. We were warmly greeted by two dogs, two sweet pot belly pigs and five chickens.
The loft above the barn was comfortable and well equipped with a Keurig coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The wonderful aromas of cooking wafted up announcing our dinner and then the next morning we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast beautifully prepared by chef Tammy.
We enjoyed learning about the farm and the community. We visit Clearlake often but had not explored this bucolic valley. We look forward to our return.

We loved our stay at The Ripe Choice Farm. Tammy greeted us briefly when we arrived, and we met Mark later on a walk around the farm. It’s always nice to meet the host(s).
The six acre farm is secure and you can’t help but love the dogs, chickens, pot-bellied pigs, and elusive tortoise who remind you where you are. The barn loft was cozy and clean with plenty of room for an extended stay. It was a bit warm on our visit in June, but they have AC and plenty of fans. It got comfortably cool at night. The bed is big and soft. The bathroom is nice with a big shower. There is a frig but no stove or sink (other than the bathroom).
The town of Lakeport has all the necessary conveniences and is a short drive away. Clear Lake is much bigger than we expected with plenty of water sports. We rented a Wave Runner and explored much of the shoreline and hiked around Clear Lake State Park.
The Saturday morning farmers market was excellent with the freshest fruits and vegetables and amazing breads. Try The Ripe Choice focaccia. Red’s at the airport is a good spot for dinner. Tammy cooked us an amazing dinner that we enjoyed next to the vineyard along with a bottle of wine and wonderful dessert.
This was a unique and enjoyable experience. Well worth the trip.

My stay was absolutely nothing short of perfect.
There are so many highlights- Chef Tammy’s exquisite meals, the kindness and generosity of the owners, the peacefulness of the farm and surrounding area, and the adorable extended farm family (2 dogs, 2 pigs, 5 chickens, a tortoise, neighborhood cats, as well as all the birds fluttering around).
I spent one day enjoying the farm in various spots, such as reading in the hammock, sitting on my picnic blanket with the animals, and watching the star come out at the fire pit. I enjoyed Chef Tammy’s excellent dinner after hiking the peaks of nearby Mt. Konocti.
Another day I enjoyed Chef Tammy’s box lunch while out exploring the towns around the lake. Hands down, Chef Tammy’s breakfast was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. She was very thoughtful and creative in accommodating my dietary needs/preferences and is clearly a talented chef.
The barn loft was serene, clean, comfortable, had many thoughtful touches, and was filled with the good energy of the morning breezes and sunset skies pouring through. It was hard to leave and I look forward to my next visit.

The farm had chickens, little rescued pigs, some older dogs, and a very large tortoise. The owners were very nice, and even allowed us to feed a little bit of fresh veggies to the pigs and tortoise. Their farm had vineyards, and orchard (apple, peach and a very large persimmon tree).
We ordered from their catering service, dinner the night we arrived and breakfast the next morning before we took off. OMG the food tasted, looked, and smelled absolutely wonderful. Fresh farm ingredients cooked and delivered directly to my table. We have been speaking about their food nearly everyday sense.
Highly recommended. The site was easy to get into and out, level enough we did not have to use blocks, and it was great looking out our windows and seeing the animals.

Love the farm and the owners. Their love and passion for everything they do shows from the way they welcome you to the farm and make your stay amazing. Great food, great stay. Loved the animals. We are looking forward to another visit.
We arrived late afternoon on a rainy, blustery Sunday. Tammy was right there to meet us and direct us to a wonderful parking location near Rosie and Bud (their two cute little pigs). We had pre ordered dinner for two and both Tammy and Mark delivered the most wonderful meal right to our van!! We were in a blissful state all night after that meal!! Highly recommend!!
The barn loft at Ripe Choice was a wonderful place for a two-night stay. The space is light-filled and spacious but still warm enough during cool nights. Breakfast was delicious and included some of the best scones I've had.
Great property with great views, delicious food if you opt for that! we had such a great time staying at your property this past weekend. will definitely return again. thank you so much for the hospitality!
We stayed here in our 35 ft Class A.
The owners are exceptionally nice and welcoming. They showed us around their farm, and introduced us to their animals including chickens, miniature pigs, a tortoise and their two dogs. They then allowed us to let our dog roam free in their fenced off farm.
We ordered breakfast and it was delivered to our door. It was delicious, and enough food to last a couple of days!
If you get the chance, be sure to stay here!

Luckily the weather was nice, so we played some basketball, hugged piglets Rose&Bud, gave some love to the chickens, chilled in the hammock, chased the doggos Chief+Annie, & spotted the huge tortoise!! & as recommended by everyone else, I am here to reiterate that you shall order at leasttttt a breakfast meal while you're visiting. We fully enjoyed dinner, but I mean the breakfast...hands down a D-E-L-I-G-H-T.
The loft was spacious, relatively warm even when the weather was cold, space heaters were 100% effective. We went wine tasting, olive oil tasting, and ordered pizza for takeout. The TV, roku, portable speaker, fridge, and microwave were greatly appreciated.
Don't forget to step outside once it gets dark, the stars are marvelous.

This is now our second time staying and we enjoyed it even more than the first. This loft is spacious and provides you with everything we need for your stay. The hosts are very communicative and accommodating. Their food is wholesome and delicious. If you are looking for a place nearby this area, this is the one!

Having a gourmet meal delivered to your camper is glamping, not camping. We opted for breakfast for 2 the next morning. A basket stuffed full of delicious gourmet goodies was delivered to our door.
We stayed in January when there was nothing growing on the farm, but we enjoyed walking around the vineyard; and the baby pigs chasing the chickens was fun for us city folk to watch."

Photos don't do this place justice. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by Tammy and John's adorable and friendly dogs and the smell of Tammy's delicious cooking.
The Airbnb is spacious yet cozy, well-decorated, and has any amenity you could possibly need. The surrounding farm is beautiful and was the perfect place for us to walk around, hang out with the animals, and catch up on reading. My boyfriend and I can't remember the last time we felt so relaxed. The hospitality and communication was top notch, yet you definitely have privacy if you want it.
What was maybe the best part of our entire visit was getting to enjoy Tammy's talent with cooking and baking. My boyfriend is vegan, and Tammy was happy to accommodate and made the most creative, delicious meals for us. My boyfriend commented that it was one of the best vegan meals he's ever had.
We will be dreaming about this place until we can return, and couldn't recommend it enough. Do yourself a favor and book a getaway here, and definitely reserve at least one meal!

Stayed in our travel trailer as part of Harvest Host. Mark and Tammi were incredible hosts. Our breakfast and dinner were two of the best meals we’ve ever had, let alone when camping. Super fresh ingredients expertly prepared by Tammi. The food was delicious and the farm is lovely.

A wonderful stay in Lakeport!! Absolutely must get a meal or two - a true highlight of the trip. The place is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend and to explore Lakeport from. The room has a great kitchenette, lot’s of books and games, and great heaters for the colder nights. An ideal Airbnb experience.
We absolutely loved our stay at The Ripe Choice Farm. Mark and Tammy were wonderful hosts, we ordered breakfast and dinner and couldn’t decide which meal was better! Both were flavorful, beautiful and left us feeling satisfied.
We traveled with our one year old daughter who thoroughly enjoyed the meals and loved helping daddy pick the delicious grapes and walnuts they allowed us to take home with us. Mark helped us find the giant tortoise, which was a definite highlight.
If you love food and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere then The Ripe Choice is a MUST. We can’t wait to go back!
